Home made music

by Sander Tams 8. September 2010 22:43

Have I ever told you guys about the music I've made some years ago? Did I have a blog at that time?

Well, it's probably obvious to everyone that I've been letting my blogs wither a bit. Especially this one, but the one at boonbot.com too. Guess I haven't felt much like writing recently. Well, I better not do that for too long periods of time if I want to ever become famous, eh? Anyway, if you feel like listening to some of the stuff that came from my messing around a few years back, here's one that I like: It's not professional in any way obviously, actually I've been taking some piano lessons that I kept dropping out of from boredom as my only musical education. You probably can't even get a year of total practice if you put it all together. Anyway. All I can give you for now is youtube quality:

Drones Advancing - By Sander

Actually I just did this for a short while, making my own music. It was fun. I kind of miss it but I haven't been taking my time and often get caught up with something else before I can get to finish a track when I try to start again. My cousin still does it. He started a little before I began to experiment, using the same software. He has started up a website to host his stuff now. The website is called Puresound.dk. Oh yeah: And he calls himself a variety of names. EventA, Boesgaard, Marindoom. Watch out for those in the future. One of those might be a great name in trance music all of a sudden. Here's a piece of his music that haven't gotten on the website yet:

Infinity - By EventA. You should try and check him out.

Me? I'm doing schoolwork mostly and then playing around with techgame, boonbot.com and ads.zunavi.dk whatever I feel most like doing from day to day. Also I've been wasting away lots of time on Starcraft II and movies and I have really no idea... oh yeah! Reading mathematics. Damn. Well, hope I can soon start being a bit more visible on the internet again. Just for my own sake, hehe. Nah. I can see on my traffic statistics that a few people still seems to be coming back once in a while. Thanks guys.

Do you think that you can love me?

by Sander Tams 12. June 2010 07:23

Got some slightly unexpected responses from two of my friends from posting this video on facebook, so I'll just share it here as well. It's really good.

It's E.D.I.T. by Capsule, one of my new fave Japanese bands. If you liked that music video, here's another great one from the same band:

Anyway. Yesterday I signed up for Plurk. If anyone is familiar with Plurk and has an account there, go ahead and Add me. Or at least just say hi or whatever. If you don't know what plurk is, it's a Taiwan based website a la something in between Twitter and Facebook.

I also wrote more stuff on Boonbot.com. Please check out my:
Post on the products exhibited at Computex 2010.

Kaohsiung trip part 2

by Sander Tams 27. February 2010 21:42

Following up on my trip to Kaohsiung. You can read Kaohsiung trip part 1 first, if you want the whole story. I also tell a bit about my trip down there with THSR in my Taiwan High Speed Rail Photos post.

I don't know if this piece of art have a special meaning or name, but it seems to be some sort of tourist attraction here. Makes sense in some way, seeing as Kaohsiung is a city with a very big harbour.

Went on a trip around the port after running into the container-sculpture above. Mark must have prepared well and knows just the places to go to. It's probably mostly because I have a big camera with me this time, but the trip around the port didn't bore me one bit, which is quite amazing. Tourbuses and tourboats especially don't do the trick for me, and this one was even all in Chinese. Perhaps the size of the harbour and ships in it made it worthwhile.

More Ximending Wan

by Sander Tams 22. October 2009 18:07

That's one of the entrances into Ximending. I went there with my classmates yesterday. It reads Shimen in Latin letters, but you know... There's a very good reason why Taiwan has it's own system of phonetic characters instead of the Latin alphabet. Actually, Xi means west. Men means door. So Ximen is actually the location of the west door of old Taipei.

This is one of the more popular places in Taipei so they have bus-stops equipped with screens that will tell you when the next bus will arrive. Neat.

Epic loot

by Sander Tams 24. September 2009 16:51

Let me tell you about the loot I got from the Guanghua Digital New Plaza raid yesterday. Iz epix.

This time I got really lucky. Found a laptop that is just perfect for my class so that I can perhaps soon get me into some more high game instances, and I didn't even waste all of my DKP yet. Actually less than half: 28.000 NT$ to be exact (that's about 865 US$ or 4350 DKK), and that is for everything: Laptop, USB mouse, operative system and related shit plus a free computer bag and misc. I haven't checked yet.

Please note that I now do most of my blogging on Boonbot.com. There, you can also find many photos that I take. Try and have a look at my post about Taipei Game Show 2010 or my posts about Computex. My little article on a few of my favourite Taiwanese Foods has also gotten quite popular.
