The Front Gateway to Chiang Kai Shek Memorial Hall

Today I'm not going to write a lot. I have a lot to write about, but not too much time I must admit. It's quite requiring learning chinese and going to a Taiwanese high school while also working on taking over the world.

The other day I snapped a picture which I'd say quite surprises me. My camera is not really good at taking pictures when it's dark - everything becomes pretty blurry from just the smallest movement, so I was not expecting this photo to be this sharp. Furthermore, there's always a lot of traffic on this road, especially in the evening when everyone is heading home. Had there been one moving vehicle, like the scooter which was just about to go into the picture one second before I took it, then it would splash all over the image and look terrible. (Actually I managed to take three pictures like this, but this is the best in my opinion.)

If you want to know a bit about Chiang Kai Shek Memorial Hall, there's, of course, a wiki page for it:

It's a quite beautiful and impressively big place. Some Taiwanese have quite different things to say about the man it was built for, though.

On another note, I'd just like to throw a link to a blog, writing a bit about me at the country fair. It's in Chinese - translate it with google translator and I can assure you amusement:

Also, I went to my host club to hold another Chinese speech today. Again, they're all saying that they are very impressed. I think that I have quite a bit to improve still though. But I was just showing them my writing skills afterwards so that should hopefully remove any doubt about my determination.

That's what I ate for dinner this evening. Sushi Rice I think the englishish translation was. Jealous much now? :D

Anyway, 大家晚安! *boof*

Please note that I now do most of my blogging on Boonbot.com. There, you can also find many photos that I take. Try and have a look at my post about Taipei Game Show 2010 or my posts about Computex. My little article on a few of my favourite Taiwanese Foods has also gotten quite popular.
